Job Title: Junior Software Project Manager - GEMS

This position requires a strong technical background and proven project management experience. Following comprehensive training, you will be responsible for managing entire GEMS implementations. As this is a customer-facing role, our project managers have first-class communication skills. We see project management as a multi-faceted role. You will be expected to run projects to budget and timescale; to perform configuration and to be comfortable with a high level of detail on the environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end for overall success of implementation.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support customer business goals in collaboration with internal Development and Project Management team.
  • Review, analyze and evaluate business systems, tools and information needs for project scope.
  • Manage and ensure all project issues are resolved promptly to avoid negative impact to the budget or schedule.
  • Attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings and conference calls with customers and team members.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and customers in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Work with Development Team to ensure thorough testing of modules/applications/interfaces.
  • Analyze project risks, costs, and benefits and make relevant recommendations to business and technology leadership team.
  • Develop project plans and execution approaches for a number of initiatives that are defined by client requirements and specifications.
  • Expanding the revenue base in existing customers by making new executive and managerial contacts and making sure that the client remains satisfied with our products and services.

Requirements:

  • You must have at least 3 years of combined business, project management, team leadership experience; including aspects of process development and execution.
  • Project Management Certification a plus.
  • Masters Degree a plus.
  • Competent and proficient understanding in PLMs, such as Windchill and Agile.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills are an asset.
